According to Wikipedia poverty is the general scarcity, dearth, or the state of one who lacks a certain amount of material possessions or money.
Despite these facts about Americans who suffer poverty have governmental support.
Citizens with the lowest level of income receive different types of social care. More than 90 percent of officially poor people have their own housing.
Another significant cause of poverty is the growth of the population in the world.
Taking India as the example, we can see that its population is critically growing.Victims of these wars are citizens who suffer from plunder and violence.The most unprotected civilians are children, women and old people.The lack of technological progress is also the reason for poverty.Mexico, countries of Africa and Latin America face the problem of deficient innovations in technology.This country cannot produce enough food to feed even half of its citizens.We can also mention here civil wars also causing poverty.Poverty in developed countries should be mentioned here too. Although it is a developed country with high technological innovations, over 47 million Americans have status of the poor.The number of homeless children increase every year.More than half of students are unable to buy lunch at the canteen.One-third of families live with incomes below 60 percent of the average income in the country.
