Candidates for the program beginning in July 2020 should submit their applications to the American Association of Dental Schools Application Service (AADSAS) between June 4th, 2019 and February 1st, 2020.
Interview sessions will be conducted between October 2019 and February 2020.
All pre-requisites must be taken for a letter grade.
No Pass/Fail credits will be accepted, unless it is the policy of the college/university to only offer such evaluation.
Additional documents or updates should NOT be sent to the Admissions Office.
All necessary information should be included in the AADSAS application.A degree from a four-year college is required for matriculation.Community college coursework is not accepted for the prerequisite coursework.Pre-dental Scholars immediately receive conditional acceptance to the School of Dentistry, the only dental school in Wisconsin.By fulfilling the requirements to remain in the program, Pre-dental Scholars are guaranteed full acceptance to the School of Dentistry by the end of their junior year.Pre-dental Scholars complete a bachelor's degree and a dental degree in seven years rather than the eight years normally required.Marquette enrolls a maximum of 10 students each year in the Pre-dental Scholars Program.We require 75 hours of exposure to the dental profession through shadowing experiences.At least 40 hours of shadowing must be completed with a general dentist.Applicants selected for an interview will be notified in writing beginning in late September 2019.Please submit the following information to AADSAS: Dental Admissions Test (DAT) scores will be downloaded from the ADA directly to the AADSAS application.
